Have you been on the fence about the Witches Tarot? Let me help you pick a side with my review of this interesting deck. Keep reading for more...
Christmas In July! Ok, so it's not July and it's not Christmas really - but it might as well have been. I ordered Witches Tarot by Ellen Dugan yesterday, and with the holiday Amazon shipping put it at arriving on Tuesday. Not great, but I understood. So imagine my delight when the FedEx driver knocked on my door a few minutes ago and delivered this bad boy! I am so excited to work with this deck....

I really love this deck. The book is thick and detailed, which is always so much better then just the plain LWB. The colors on this deck really pop, and the cardstock isn't half bad either. Check out some up close images of the deck, and then keep scrolling down for a video review! (Yeah, I know - video isn't my thing, but maybe it could be!)

I just have to mention again that this book in this set is really fantastic, probably one of the nicest books I have gotten with a deck. It's a full 312 pg wonderful resource for beginners and even for seasoned readers. The cards get a lot of information with a full page picture on the card and then at least a full page of information on the card, meanings, keywords, etc. It also includes information on reading for others, tarot spreads, etc...

Again, I really love these cards, and there is a lot of symbolism while at the same time not being too overwhelming. The images are pretty close to traditional Rider-Waite imagery, with the exception of two cards. The first is the Devil card, which in this deck is shown as the Shadowside. The other is the Judgement card has been replaced with the card Karma. These fit really into a pagan/wiccan practice and the book also includes some great rituals that you can do with your cards.

Do you have this deck? If you do please share your thoughts on it below in the comments.
