For millennia, cats have held our fascination… aloof; mysterious and elegant creatures, they slip quietly into our lives in story and poem and even worshiped by the Egyptians as gods long ago.  Often thought of as companions to witches, black cats have often been the unlucky recipients of superstition, fear and more than their share of bad press. Check out our impressions of the Black Cat Tarot

Earlier this month my 5 year old daughter shocked me by asking if she could have her own deck of tarot cards. We already sit and talk about the meanings of different cards, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. She also is very adept at caring for our altars, and clearly has a love for the path we follow in this house. So I set about looking for a deck that might be child friendly - and I found Happy Tarot! Check out our first impressions below.

I'm sure everyone out there can relate - you find a deck online that you are drawn to, that you MUST have. You order, wait patiently (ok maybe not too patient) stalk the mail man on delivery day and then you open the package and instantly deflate. Check out my response to the Gothic Tarot by Joseph Vargo.

It's been a while since I allowed myself a new deck - I mean, heck, I've been selling off or trading nearly every deck that I owned except for a few special decks. This past week I traded with a fellow tarot reader for a couple of decks that I never would have considered on my own, but that I felt pretty drawn to. Take a look at the Everyday Witch Tarot with me.

I hint constantly for new tarot decks. My husband simply can't understand why one needs multiple decks - but he still lets me buy new ones when the mood moves me. The Steampunk Tarot by Barbara Moore has been on my wishlist for some time now. So imagine my delight when my son Christopher gifted me this little beauty for Christmas. Keep reading to get my impressions of this deck and grab a copy for yourself.

Deck Review: Green Witch tarot

I admit it, I'm a goober when it comes to tarot decks. I research and read reviews and listen to what people say before I decide to part with my hard earned cash. Mostly because there isn't a lot of discretionary money in our house so I try to be careful where it goes. For weeks I have been listening to people rave about the Green Witch Tarot, and it keeps selling out in the shop so I finally caved and ordered myself a copy. Keep reading to get my impressions on this deck.

Wow, it has been hit or miss for me with tarot decks lately. Cards that seem to scream to me online or in the store whimper once I get them home. It's getting downright depressing. Speaking of depressing - this week we added the Tarot Favole to our collection. Keep reading to here what I had to say about it.

10 years ago, heck, even 5 years ago cell phones were still evolving. Back then you likely had a simple design, but now that phones are virtually mini computers it is only natural that the tarot world took notice and began to use that. Here are some of my favorite tarot apps:

Fairytales have a way of capturing our imaginations from the time that we are small children. When we grow up fairytales fall away or we learn the dark origins of beloved tales. What happens when those dark tales get turned into a tarot deck?
